Strangers as Neighbors and Outreach Seek Warm Coats, Hats, Scarves, Gloves

The Strangers as Neighbors (SaN Study Group has learned that Casa de Paz needs warm coats, hats, scarves and gloves for undocumented immigrants and refugees released from the ICE facility in Aurora during the winter months. These individuals often have traveled long distances and from warmer climates and lack winter clothing when released from federal custody. If you have an older coat or extra gloves, hats or scarves, we would be happy to collect these items and take them to Aurora. You may drop off your donations whenever you’d like by using the bin outside of the west entrance. The Outreach team and SaN members will also plan to be at the church on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm to collect large items or large volume donations. For more information, or if you need items to be picked up at your home, please contact Trudy Gygi at mabelgygi@yahoo.com. Thank you for your generosity.
