Advent Marketplace: Sunday, December 4

December 4, 2016

Description

Advent Marketplace: Sunday, December 4, 8:45 am – 12:00 pm
We will hold our annual Advent Marketplace on December 4 in Barker Hall from 8:45 am-12:00 pm. Come join us as we celebrate Advent with cake, hot cider, children’s crafts, and a large selection of alternative Christmas gift ideas. We will have Beads for Life, Fair Trade coffees and chocolates, winter gloves for the homeless, Green Earth team products, Women’s bean Project mixes, etc. We plan to have a new booth this year. Brenda Mehos will offer Fair Trade olive oil, bath soaps, spices, hand embroidered items, ornaments and jewelry in support of Boulder’s sister city Nablus project and the Pilgrims of Ibillin school’s peace projects. There will also be a UMW booth where people can sign up to bring or send in recipes for our UMW/Mt. View cookbook. Come see what we need and share your cooking stories. These “alternative gift” opportunities offer us a chance to stimulate the holiday economy with good deeds as well as our capital. Consumable gifts like coffee are useful and don’t require maintain or storage. Handcrafted gifts support the creative human spirit and offer economic independence to people with few opportunities. Come and join us as we celebrate with cake and cider and music.
