DESCRIPTION:Blue Christmas: Thursday\, December 12\, 5:15 pm dinner\, 6:15 pm service \nLoss can take many shapes in our lives; the loss of a significant relationship\, the loss of our sense of purpose\, the loss of employment\, perhaps the loss of our health or that of a loved one\, and even the loss of an aspiration or dream. \nIf you or someone you know is finding Christmas to be a difficult time\, Mountain View United Methodist Church invites you to our 2019 Blue Christmas service.  There will be a light supper served Thursday December 12th at 5:15 p.m. in Frasier Parlor. A worship service will follow the supper at 6:15 pm in the Sanctuary. \nMany people feel out of step this time of year as others are celebrating and gathering with family and friends. Sometimes we just need space and the time to acknowledge our grief and apprehension and it is good to know that we are not alone in the experience of our sadness during the holiday season. Together\, we can use our mutual sorrow as a path to rejoice this Christmas. Together we can acknowledge that it is okay to feel sad during the holidays. Please accept this invitation to be with us and to experience the hope and joy of God’s light that shines ever so bright even in the depths of our darkest night. \nPlease call the church if you plan to have supper with us so we may prepare the appropriate amount of food\, if you need transportation to the church\, or need childcare during the service.   Also\, if you have any questions about the service\, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 303-494-5025. \n
