Disaster Preparedness and Response: Insights on what the Rocky Mountain Conference is doing to help everyone prepare for or recover from a disaster.
Volunteers in Mission: Information on getting involved with the Volunteers in Mission program.Including UMVIM history, project ideas, leader training and other resources.
Supporting Missionaries: Details on how to sponsor a missionary, how to arrange a visit and how to support them in their important work.
Service Opportunities: There are otherways of missionvolunteering. Haveyou consideredjoining theNOMADS? Orbecoming a GlobalMission Fellow? Or
getting involved with MissionaryService? Or UnitedMethodist Women?
Connecting Neighbors: This UMCOR disaster preparedness program to inspire congregations to be better able to minimize disaster-caused harm and to respond to our neighbors.
• Ready Congregants: Preparing you and your household before and immediately following a disaster.
• Ready Churches: Protecting church property and the people within the property, and of appropriate use of church property in disaster response.
• Ready Response: Encourages churches to explore their capacity for various disaster response ministries and to engage community partners.
VIM Leader Training:
This 3 hour session is for those individuals that would like to lead a Volunteer in Mission team. The material focuses on the basic activities and the responsibilities of a team leader.
