DESCRIPTION:Community Peace Camp 2017: Take A Stand!\n July 17-21\nWhat does it mean to TAKE A STAND? Throughout the week kids will explore ways we can find courage to do the right thing\, have meaningful communication that promotes peace and understanding even when we disagree\, resolve conflicts through kindness\, and so much more! Activities in large group time\, small group lessons\, and workshops like art and games will teach kids about the importance of TAKING A STAND against injustice for themselves\, for others\, and for our world. \nMountain View is working with multiple faith organizations from around Boulder County to plan and implement all aspects of Peace Camp\, and we welcome participants from all backgrounds. Our focus is not on specific religious teachings\, but instead on how we\, as humans\, can live in peace with one another. \nPeace Camp is open to kids ages 3-14 and will take place at the United Church of Christ in Longmont\, July 17-21\, 9:00 am -1:00 pm each day.
