DESCRIPTION:June 12 – 16\, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm\, $25/child\, $40/family\, Ages 3 – 5th grade \nEveryone is invited to join us at Hero Central VBS\, where kids can discover all the qualities that make us God’s superheroes! Throughout the week we will explore the hero code: God’s heroes have HEART\, COURAGE\, WISDOM\, HOPE\, and POWER\, and we’ll find that God’s never-ending love gives us the strength to always be our best! We’ll play\, create\, sing\, and learn each day as we hold fast to our Hero Verse: “Do good! Seek peace and go after it!” (Psalm 34:14). So plan to come and be a part of Hero Central VBS! \nVacation Bible School is open to all kids ages 3 (by 1/1/17) through the 5th grade (current school year) and will run June 12 – 16 from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. Cost for the week is $25 per child/$40 per family. Registration information can be found below. \nVacation Bible School needs lots of volunteers to run smoothly and keep everyone happy and safe. Here are some ways you can be involved in VBS this year (all lesson plans and materials are provided):\nSmall group leaders – these volunteers share the daily story and lesson with their group during small group time. This volunteer position requires a commitment of 2 hours (8:45 – 10:45 am) each day of VBS. We need 8-10 people to act as small group leaders.\nPreschool leaders – these volunteers will lead our youngest VBS participants. As a team\, they will lead preschool small group time and all workshops (art\, science/missions\, outdoor games\, and snack). This volunteer position requires a commitment of 4.5 hours (8:30 am – 1:00 pm) each day of VBS. We need 3-4 people to act as preschool leaders.\nWorkshop leaders – these volunteers lead our workshops\, building on the lessons and stories kids hear during small group time. Workshops include art\, outdoor games\, science and missions\, and snack. This volunteer position requires a commitment of 2.5 hours (10:00 am – 12:30 pm) each day of VBS. We need 7 people to act as workshop leaders.\nRegistration and sign in helpers – these volunteers greet our participants each morning. They help the kids find their nametags and small group leaders\, and be sure parents sign kids in each day. This volunteer position requires a time commitment of 1 hour (8:30 – 9:30 am) each day. Registration volunteers can sign up to help one day or all week! We need 8-10 people to help with registration on Monday morning\, and 5-8 people to help the rest of the week.\nDaily Helpers – these volunteers will help small group leaders or workshop leaders as needed. The time commitment for these volunteers varies and we will work with your schedule! Daily helpers can sign up one day or all week. \nPlease let Larissa know how you can be a part of Vacation Bible School this year!
