Please save January 30, 2021 for our Peaks Pikes Peak District United Methodist Women Leadership Development Day. We’ll plan to meet at 8:45 a.m. for Coffee and visiting with each other on the Zoom link. We’ll begin the meeting at 9 a.m., with the theme of Knitted Together for God’s Good Work—The Gift of Mentoring.
Margaret Wiatrowski, our incoming president, will welcome us and we will begin with our awards for Mission Today and the UMW Reading Program. Rev. Janet Forbes will be our guest speaker; she will address our theme of mentoring and how we, as officers in United Methodist Women, can mentor our current and future UMW sisters.
We also will have breakout sessions for each group of officers (presidents, vice-presidents, treasurers, secretaries) as well as our coordinators for Education and Interpretation; Spiritual Growth; Membership, Nurture and Outreach; Program Resources; Social Action; and Communications. And, we will have a training session for Nominations to help you find the new leaders whom you will mentor during 2021 and beyond. Our goal is to conclude the meeting by 12:00 noon.
In order to determine how many breakout rooms we need, we do ask that you identify the office you hold, or if you are interested in our UMW 101 presentation. There is no registration fee for this meeting, but we do need your registration information by January 22 in order to plan for both the general meeting and the breakout sessions.
