Description

Intentional Discipleship Sessions Ft. Jeremy Scott: Sunday, November 12, 10:15 am – 1:00 pm, Frasier Parlor

Do Not Be Afraid to Talk About Your Faith

Mountain View’s Radical Hospitality Committee has invited Rev. Jeremy Scott, Vital Congregation Developer of the Mountain Sky Area of the United Methodist Church to speak about Intentional Discipleship on Sunday, November 12th in Frasier Parlor.

The first Intentional Discipleship session will be offered in Frasier Parlor at 10:15 – 11:30 am. There will be coffee and pastries provided.

The second Intentional Discipleship session in Frasier Parlor at 11:45am-1:00pm. Sandwiches and coffee will be provided.

The Intentional Discipleship topic from Rev. Scott covers how as members of our church, we can be more intentional about following Jesus, and inviting new people into a relationship with God. “Often times the good work of a church gets lost in translation with an increasingly unchurched world that we live in. First and foremost, we must boldly claim our mission to make disciples and enhance the transformational power of God’s love. By learning to translate better the good things already happening in the church, we will be more successful in reaching new people.”

GUEST SPEAKER:

Jeremy Scott serves as the Mountain Sky Area Vital Congregation Developer, focused on new church starts and existing church vitality.  Jeremy has held this position since 2014.  Before that, Jeremy served as Lead Pastor at Evangelical United Methodist in Billings, Montana where he led a successful mission-focused turn around of a declining congregation.  Before entering ministry, Jeremy had a successful career as a software developer and project manager in a small public health software company.  Jeremy and his wife have two children ages 12 and 7.
