
Rev. Megan M. Burg
Lead Pastor
Rev. Megan Burg has a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Nebraska and she has a Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry with a Focus in Religious Leadership from Iliff School of Theology. Graduating from Iliff in 2007 she is excited to have maintained her relationships with the Iliff community and continues to use the school as a grounding point for her ministry and career.
She has worked in the United Methodist Church since 1999 working in local churches in both Nebraska and Colorado. Megan was ordained as a Deacon in 2015. Following futher discernment she returned to the process and changed orders to become an Elder in 2021. She is very involved in the connectional ministries of the church and has served in a variety of roles, including chair for the District Committee on Ministry, a part of the delegation for General and Jurisdictional work in the UMC, a board member for the Center for Health and Hope, and as a mentor to a variety of individuals discerning their call and vocation. She is currently serving on the Conference Trustees.
She deeply enjoys getting to know laity and clergy around the world and utilizing those relationships to further the spread of God’s love across our globe. Megan is married to Rev. Elizabeth Burg who serves as an Elder in United Methodist Church. They have three wonderful children. Megan and her family enjoy riding bikes, reading books, and traveling.
