2022’s Quiet Disciples: Bonnie & Glen Strand
Bonnie and Glen both have an extensive legacy of outreach. They donate their time and energy stocking and delivering food to families in need for Community Food Share, a food bank fighting hunger in Boulder and Bloomfield Counties.
On Sunday mornings, Glen can be found in the church Narthex both: collecting canned food which he later delivers to the food bank; and, selling grocery cards to support Outreach missions. Bonnie has served on our church’s ReLaunch Committee during the pandemic. She also serves on our Building Future Committee, thoughtfully planning for the future of our building and grounds.
Both Bonnie and Glen reach out to the victims of the Marshall Fire — Bonnie as care liaison for a church family who lost their home and by meal prep for wildfire victims, and Glen collecting grocery gift cards for distribution to wildfire victims.
Bonnie and Glen are exemplary models of caring for those in need and we are proud to recognize them both as 2022’s
