People of Various Faith Traditions Organizing to Create a Better World by Pua Aki
Speaking of “talking about THAT in church”… Please join us on March 20 during the Koinonia hour to learn about living out our faith and Christ’s teachings through engaging with our state legislative system and advocating for (to use Pastor Stephanie’s words from February 6) the changes we need to see in our world.
Pua Aki and some other community friends will be at Mountain View to tell us about Together Colorado, a faith-based, nonpartisan, and multi-racial community organization working to place human dignity at the center of public life in Colorado.
This year, Together Colorado is supporting several pieces of legislation that will reform our criminal justice system to focus on rehabilitation and social and community support; increase protections for mobile home park residents; set the stage to improve Colorado’s air quality; and ensure our immigrant neighbors can access proper healthcare.
Together Colorado is working toward a future where our rights are respected, our families are safe, and our communities are vibrant and whole. Come and learn more during Koinonia on March 20, or find out more at: togetherco.org/legislation.
