11th Hour Bell Ringing for Climate Action
Please feel invited to join us every 11th day of every month to call for the need for urgent action to combat climate change. We gather at 10:45 am at the corner of 14th and Spruce downtown and at 11 am we ring the FUMC tower bell and our Buddhist friends across the street answer in response by striking their temple bowl. We do this to connect us with the long tradition of religious groups sounding their ‘noisemakers’ in times of celebration and in times of danger. Our bell ringing is a monthly reminder that we must act collectively and individually in response to this moral challenge. All are welcome.
