On April 30th Church Council approved a SUMMER PLAN from the Worship Team to hold ONE, COMBINED WORSHIP SERVICE AT 10:00 am from June to August! All of us together in one place will fill the sanctuary with celebration and lift our spirits with praise! The music will be Blended, the sounds will be sweet, and we will greet the Lord’s Day as a united body of believers! Adult Education will happen beforehand and an expanded fellowship opportunity is envisioned for afterward. We will meet as the whole people of God this summer. 🙂
We will return to our regular pattern of three different styles of worship come September, but for the summer months this year, we are asked to step into a little “holy experimentation.” A single, blended service of worship has long been discussed at Mountain View as a change of pace for the summer season. This year, it was decided that what Mountain View needs most is to draw closer to one another, and worship together as the Whole people of God.
Please don’t miss a Sunday this summer as we will be celebrating! The month of June brings Laity Sunday, VBS music, the 90th Birthday party, Outdoor worship and farewell celebrations for both Pastor Steve. With July the opportunity to meet your new Minister, the Rev. Stephanie Kidwell, music for Independence Sunday and the Summer Neighborhood Bash. August is the Blessing of the Animals service the Blessing of the Backpacks and the Ministry Fair. You see, if you miss any Sunday, you miss a lot!
Will you make a commitment right now with us at Mountain View, to move slightly out of our comfort zones and experience worship as the Whole people of God? I hope you will agree that it is a shared blessing, a sweet surprise and a holy encounter.
Joyfully,
Pastor Steve
