Let’s go to Guatemala! Beth and I invite you to consider joining us in mission to Guatemala this Spring. The dates are March 20- April 2nd, 2017. We will be part of the Boulder area United Methodist Team (BUMMP) going to do home construction and work with children in and around Lamoa, Guatemala. Please note that no special skills are required to participate in this important mission work, and Guatemala is one of the safest countries South America. Details can be found at http://www.puravida.org, or by emailing the trip coordinator: Mark Ely (firstname.lastname@example.org).
From its earliest days Mountain View has been involved in giving back. It has provided inspiration and missional connection as the body of Christ has reached beyond barriers to share Christ’s love with others. Whenever we share our faith in missions and outreach, we have new experiences, and discover new stories to tell. Beth and I have been on many mission trips in the past, both foreign and domestic, and would love to see several of you join us on this missional adventure.
Our own United Methodist Women have led the way by sponsoring a child in Guatemala through Pura Vida Ministries. Pura Vida is a nonprofit organization working to promote health and education in the western highlands of Guatemala. Through our mission partners at Pura Vida Ministries, we will join established projects and develop new relationships. With years of involvement and success in this area, we can be assured of a great experience together with volunteers from throughout Boulder. What a great way to experience a culture, and share in God’s work, together!
Please read the Pura Vida Messenger article, or go to http://www.puravida.org/trip.html?trip_id=56, for further details on this meaningful mission opportunity.
